My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial 12/01/08: MEET SAMMY!!! This is one of the cutest and affectionate little guys you will ever find. He is 8 years old, has been neutered and is current on all his shots with no health issues. He is an owner surrender who came from a home with 4 children and two other dogs. Kids ages ranged from 10 to 17 years and his other four legged companions were a Maltise and a German Shepard. This should make him very adaptable to a variey of homes. His previous owner said they were giving him up because he was "marking". I've only had him for 5 days but I have not seen him do this and he goes out all the time with my other dogs. I will keep a close eye on this. He has settled in very quickly and does fine with my dogs. He is fairly quiet but active. He likes to be next to me on the couch and will sit up like a squirrel and make a tiny noise when he wants attention. He does snore lightly sometimes but I find it endearing. His face is adorable and he is a very loving little guy. He weighs about 7-8 lbs and I believe he is a purebred Yorkie. If you consider this charming "middle aged" fellow, you will have a friend for life and an absolutely lovely companion dog. He is simply wonderful!!! :-) Given his previous circumstances, it would be best if someone in his new home is around most of the time as I think he would be very lonely otherwise.
