Welcome Dixie. She is a 2-year-old Dachshund/Manchester Terrier mix. She is shy and sweet. She has been handled rough by her previous owner and so she warms up slowly but bonds deeply. She is good in a car, good on a leash, likes to be held, good with other dogs and sweet. She would do best in a home where she can get lots of attention and a quieter home would be best. She is learning potty manners and will go on a piddle pad. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a great size for an apartment or a small yard. She is also not very vocal. She is currently in a rural facility in Pipe Creek, Texas. She is looking for her forever home on the East or the West Coast. We will use a transporter to help her get to her forever home.
