My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Feb Update: We would love to see Bear move on to a home of his own. We have taken him many places and he has gotten to meet young folks/old folks,/babies and seniors. And he loves them all. Like any senior dog, Bear has good days and some not so good days. But when encouraged Bear now gets himself up to a trot, watching you all the time as if to say, "See, I can do this" He is going up and down the stair with no problem, still loves his food and of course, he fuzzy squeaky toys. If anyone is interested in fostering Bear please drop us a line at wcrr.info@gmail.com

This sweet boy is between 8 – 10 and appears to have fallen on hard times in the last while. At one time he must have been someone’s pet. Bear knows about living in a house, he knows come, sit, down, stay, go to your bed. He knows to go to the door to be let out. He knows how to climb stairs and play with toys. But it was very clear that Bear had not been granted much inside time over the last years as his coat was filthy, matted and he smelt very very bad.

Bear seems to have quite a few medical issues going on and will need a special diet with suppliments. We are taking him for swimming to ease the arthritis in his back and legs
Bear needs a home where he can live his days INDOORS, but a back yard for bathroom breaks would be good. While he is good with the resident small female dog, he is leary of large males and really only wants a home where he can rest and be loved. He is a wonderful companion and deserves a home of his own.
If you would like to adopt or even foster this sweet old fellow, please contact us for an application. There will be a small adoption fee as welll as a home check. This is to ensure that Bear will be loved and cherished for the rest of his days
