Esther is a beautiful brindle puppy with a white chest, white stripe on her nose, and white paws. Her foster mom tells us her story:
My son and a friend found her after she appeared to have been dumped in a barn in the country. She is healthy per her vet check, and seems to have been well cared for. She was normal weight, had no fleas or worms, and was clean when she was found. (Unfortunately, her real owners could not be found). She has quickly won hearts with her happy puppy energy and her puppy snuggles - she definitely has the appreciative nature of a rescue pet! Esther loves to be close to her humans - she wants to climb in your lap, loves to put her paws on your shoulders with her face next to yours, and will wedge herself between the small of your back and the sofa cushion and take a nap! She is definitely a snuggler!
Esther is currently estimated to be 5 months old (putting her estimated DOB at 04/01/17). The vet thinks she is a boxer mix. Her face looks somewhat like a lab, but she's mediocre as a retriever! She is extremely smart, but has had little training yet. She isn't completely housebroken, but she is making progress and is pretty good about alerting us when she needs to go out. Esther needs a home where she can safely run and play outside as well as hang out in the house and sleep indoors. As an energetic puppy, she needs at least an hour a day of going on walks or active playtime. She loves to race after squirrels and birds, but her enthusiasm to see other people or animals will also entice her to race into the street to greet others.....so a safe place to run is critical. It is very important to us (the foster family and the rescue) that Esther have a loving and safe, permanent forever home!
Prior to adoption, Esther will be spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm monthly preventatives. She is in foster care in East Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $450 which includes all vetting and transport. Vet references, personal references, and home visits may be required prior to adoption.
