Adoption donation includes transport and all vaccinations, except for the Lyme—therefore, the dogs will not need to get any vaccinations for the first year. Our vet has recommended that all dogs under 6 months not to spay or neuter the pups because they are too young and their bodies are not fully developed.

Ziva will brighten your every morning with puppy kisses and snuggle with you every night. Her soft coat just begs to be petted. She loves to play and her beautiful coat make her an absolutely adorable little girl. She encourages tummy rubs and will melt in your arms while you do it. She needs lots of love, patience and time, as all puppies do. Ziva is ready to be a with a family; most importantly ready to love you always and unconditionally.

Ziva is a girl who wants to do the right thing as she just adores being around people and will listen to what is asked of her. Everyone loves Ziva! She is a very easy girl and loves loves kids; her foster mom can’t say enough good things about her, she has no issues. Ziva could be in a home with kids—but adults must always supervise any dog with their children. She is sweet friendly and extra playful... loves to run, romp and wrestle

It is hard for us to understand how dogs in the south are dumped or picked up by animal control. Many think that it is because of pet owners don’t want them, which is really very far from the truth. Ziva and her siblings are a part of a reoccurring rescue story that we see about 80% of the time, however, we don’t know if the owner dumped her Mom or if she was born in the wild and managed to grow and live on her own.

Ziva’s and her siblings rescue story begins the day her mom-Ayla-went into labor on the front lawn of St Francis Hospital. We all know German Shepherds are very smart so we like to entertain the thought that she knew that babies were born at the hospital so that is why Ayla went there and knew that it was the safest place for her babies—what a good mom. She was first seen by a kind woman that loved dogs and was a friend of our rescue partner. She was laying under a shrubbery giving birth and a call went out to those in town that were known to rescue and re-home dogs. The kind woman stopped her day to make sure that Ayla and her pups were kept safe and kept them until the pups were old enough to wean.

Ayla has heartworm and will need to have heartworm treatment so the kind woman that opened her heart and home to this canine family, also has opened her wallet to pay for the treatment. She will keep Ayla until she is healthy; then she asked our partner if we could get these pups into a reputable rescue so they could get great homes. Thanks to our hard-working foster parents, ZIVA is and her siblings are healthy and growing fast. This southern pup is ready for a new life up north and would be a great addition to most any family! She is loyal, loves children, people, and other dogs.

If you are looking for a dog that you would like to take with you and be with all day, Ziva will likely be a great match for you. We are looking for someone who has a lot of time and attention to give to Ziva because she deserves nothing less. This adorable gal is looking for a loving family that will dote on her and treat her as she deserves–a lifetime cherished member. Our rescue works from our hearts for our dogs; it is the least we can do for them because they deserve nothing less. We owe it to our dogs that the wonderful people who stand to be the last chapter of their rescue and the first chapter of their new forever lives deserve her. Don’t let her slip by—there is a lifetime of wonderful memories waiting for you!

About Our Rescue

These dogs deserve all of our attention, and in Rescue Dog Village, we are committed to our adopters and our dogs equally. We offer full disclosure and hope to make the best matches possible. Please know our adoption fees never cover our expenses. We rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us help the dogs.

Our rescue is only in the business of offering full disclosure to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. It's that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and that's our goal!

Our rescue volunteers will be in touch with you after receiving your application and conducting a mandatory a veterinarian check. If you have never owned a dog before, please submit your application regardless, and we will be in touch with you as soon as possible. TAKE NOTE YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR SPAM AS SOME RESPONSES FROM US WIND UP THERE WE'VE DISCOVERED. Also, contact your veterinarian to let them know a member of rescue will be inquiring about your pet history!

We donate our time to saving these animals and we value your generous and compassionate desire to help be part of the rescue. We are committed to the well-being of our dogs and consider the veterinarian check mandatory. If you are a first-time dog owner, we will work with you every step of the way! Advocacy and education are as much a part of responsible rescue as adoption! It is an awful feeling to fail a dog and we do everything we can to ensure good matches for the dogs and tender families who might adopt them.

Although we are an extremely small rescue group, we understand and respect your family's eagerness to be in touch and learn as much as you can about the dogs you are considering adopting. Our very experienced and devoted fosters will be share all aspects of our rescue dogs to determine compatibility once you've submitted your application, and another of our volunteers will explain the whole process of our rescue and answer any questions you might have as well.

If you have the time and love to offer this extremely bright dog who can make you laugh for hours at his antics, PLEASE APPLY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A RESCUE DOG VILLAGE DOG AND GIVE ONE A HOME. Our dogs deserve all that a committed family can offer. Make no mistake about it, this is one spectacular dog!

Please contact RescueDogVillage@yahoo.com and we will be happy to return your correspondence, but please submit the application now so we can have that information as a starting base for our dialogue.
