Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Magnum : The Handsome Guy with the Sweet Smile
6- year - old, large, male, coated German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Unknown
Good with cats: Unknown
This guy could be a movie star with his handsome and rugged good looks, right? Magnum was found as a stray, but the Good Samaritan wasn’t able to keep him and really wanted to find a good home for this sweet guy. And of course, Saving Paws wanted to help. He was very thin and matted when found, and he had sore paws and weak hind legs. We’re not sure how long this guy was out on his own. But what is clear is that this fellow is FANTASTIC. He’s as sweet as they come, and everyone who meets him falls in love at first sight. He loves to hang out with his people and “talk” to them.
He’s starting to gain some weight, although he is a bit of a finnicky eater. But he’s incredibly gentle and loves attention. He’s also had a lot of improvement already with his coa
t and his weak hind end. It’s amazing what love, a soft bed and good quality nutrition can do for a handsome guy like Magnum. This fellow is not particularly high energy and would be a great family dog. We don’t know if he would be good with small children, but he’s so gentle and loving that it wouldn’t surprise us at all. He’s the kind of companion that would love to go everywhere and anywhere with you. He loves to meet people and seems to get along fine with other dogs too.
He’s a coated shepherd and will need regular grooming to prevent matts and keep his coat looking
beautiful. He walks great on a leash and is house trained. If you can give Magnum a happy, indoor home, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full - time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
