My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted by his foster mom in Rock Hill, SC.

This Cocker boy can be in a home with children 12 years and older or an adult only home.  Fenced yard preferred.  He will be a great companion for you to love.

My name is Watson and I am in a great foster home in Rock Hill.  I am a 10 year old red n white cocker spaniel boy.  I was  alone and soaking wet when a good Samaritan found me on a Friday morning after NC was hit overnight by a massive rain storm.  I do have a micro-chip but my owner could not be located. He checked shelters, rescues and posted flyers. He couldn't keep me, so CCR took me into rescue and continued to follow up on my micro-chip information. My owner was finally located. She had moved and was living in her place of business where she said I was not happy because I had no yard and I didn't get much attention. She surrendered me to these nice folks to find me a home where I will have a better life and get more attention.

I am a healthy boy and neutered.  I am now current on vet care, my ear infection has been treated and I've had a dental. Apparently, I was a very loved, pampered dog until my owner just got to busy with work. The rescue vet here found that I do have some hearing loss that happens from frequent ear infections or can just be from me getting older. I am a very happy boy who would enjoy spending quality time cuddling with you on the couch and sleeping with you at night. Because I am partially deaf, I will only be placed into a home with children 12 and older who will not startle me or accidentally let me out. I am decently house trained and I would enjoy having a fenced yard to spend short times outside. If not, you will always need to keep me on a leash whenever I go outside. This said, being left off leash is how I got lost, ended up alone and soaking wet, and eventually ended up here. I would love to find a new home with another laid back cocker who would enjoy a companion to hang out with during the day and at night we could spend quality time sleeping with our loving human owner.  I am a sweet, very loving cocker boy. I can be a bit vocal at times, especially if you give me belly rubs. I will be a wonderful companion for someone to adopt and love as their sweet cocker boy.

My adoption fee is $300,  which helps to pay for all of my vet care needs that have been done by CCR to help me be the healthy boy that I am now.
