My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I came to the Dallas area all the way from Houston with 12 babies. Yes, 12. They weren't all mine but the shelter just kept adding babies to my own litter, and I kept trying to feed them all. Kitty Save was able to send some to a bottle baby nanny. Thank goodness. But the ones I still nursed weren't in the best of health. One by one, I lost most of them. I gave it my all.

After that, I was prepared to be adopted so I could go off on a new adventure. But that was three years ago, and it hasn't happened yet. I am FIV+ which is no big deal, but I wasn't allowed to go to adoptions at PetSmart and meet some people I might like to have as my very own.

When the Kitty Save kitties were placed into The Charming Cat Corner, I then had my chance. So, trust me, I am taking it easy here waiting to see who might come along that I really take a fancy to.

My FIV+ condition just means that I carry that virus. I am not a biter or a fighter so I don't spread it to others. You see, for me to infect any other kitty, I'd have to bite really hard and draw blood. That's not me. If I don't like a situation, I get up and go get comfortable somewhere else. I've lived with other cats all my adult life and I'm pretty cool with that.

In fact, I get accused of being too aloof...like I'm "just there." Really? I'm a quiet lady with a calm demeanor and very good house etiquette. Yes, that's me atop the piano in my foster home. I don't dash around like I'm on catnip or something...or drool. You can talk to me and I'll listen. You can sit down and make room for me. When I'm ready, I'll cuddle.

I'd really like a home with a little bit of activity, like a kid or two. I could do that. But I can also settle in nicely with a quiet family. That's not too much of a challenge for me. Please come see me at The Charming Cat Cafe. It's time I get my own life with my own family underway.
