Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Broken, neglected, rejected, and alone... then into a terrifying loud overcrowded high kill shelter. So this is how Shasta's story began. This little 3 year old 30 lb hound mix has triumphed through it all. The scars from her past have left her a bit timid but loving and laid back all the same. Shasta was pulled by a rescue group and placed in a loving foster home where she has thrived. She has an old injury in one of her back legs that only causes any tenderness when she has had a long day playing? Shasta is an exceptionally well behaved little girl with good house manners. She is already house and crate trained. This sweet precious pooch is very good with children, other dogs, and cats. She prefers a nice peaceful home where she can just hang out and be loved on by the ones she adores. Shasta rather enjoys getting her ears rubbed and will likely show her appreciation through soulful eyes and perhaps a few little kisses. She is not the demanding type but more of an old soul who patiently watches over her loved ones from the quiet recesses of a comfy spot. Shasta is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. A pup no longer broken in a million pieces, she waits for her forever loving family. No more tears, no more pain, just the tender loving care of someone....like you?
UPDATE current on preventatives, and micro chipped.
Shasta's. CT foster mom sent me these remarkable remarks : I can tell you this is a dream dog. Not only is she house broken, but she’s mellow, bonds quickly, and is clearly a lover. She walks so nicely on a leash and follows me around the house quietly asking to be pet. She’s great with my dogs but would be fine as an only dog too. Her previous foster mom said she's fine with cats. If you’re looking for a medium sized dog (33 pounds), have a quiet house, and want a dog that is a serious snuggler, this dog is a no brainer. She is going to go fast but until she does, I’m so happy to have her..
