My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blakelee: dob: ~March 16, 2016, weighs 9lbs. was rescued by a 'Good Samantha' who witnessed a man throw Blakelee out of a van window, as he drove by her home in rural Rutherford Co, NC.

More concerned about this poor little baby, she wasn't concentrating on getting his tag#...sigh! 'Good Samantha' rushed her to her vet for a limp=she's AOK!

So, after a decent grooming-she was extremely matted and a couple of days of just 'chillin', 'Good Samantha' reached out to Howlin4Spirit for help in finding her a responsible, loving home.

So now, here we are, letting you know about this WONDERFUL little sweetheart who is looking for a loving home. Gets along well with not 'in your face' dogs(NOT good with M & L dogs who are pushy), cats, kids of ALL ages(did well w/'Good Sam's' 1.5yo=chilled & 9yo niece=hyper) but is a bit leery of men(I wonder why?!?) until she learns that their touch is kind and gentle. Her activity level is 'wide open' upon first waking, at noon and again ~5>7pm...otherwise, she's happy to be 'hanging with her Peeps' and fur-buddies.'OK' on-leash, but could use more experience. WANTS TO PLEASE! So, I feel certain that she would do well with 1st level obedience course under her belt.

REQUIRES A SECURED chain-link with secured wire attached at bottom=Good Sam warned me that she WILL DIG & BOLT, IF NOT SUPERVISED(her yard was basically fenced for a Yorkie who'd rather be inside than out), TOTALLY exhausted or her mind not occupied with playing with fur-buddies. IF a dog park is her only option for proper exercise, adopter MUST agree to supervise at ALL times(in case someone should open the gate, she could easily slip out)

Good Samantha said she had 1 accident in her home, the first day, and nothing since that time. She has been 100% housebroken at Howlin4Spirit, so far! Crates easily at night, no accidents in crate. But, would rather be in bed with her person, of course!.Rides well in car. Loves to play fetch and run her little heart out....Good Sam and I feel she'd been crated a LOT in her past life, so freedom is 'the cherry on top' in this new beginning of her 2nd chance at REAL LOVE.

Blakelee weighed in at 9.2lbs on MON/SEPT 11th. She will be ready to go to her new life on SAT/SEPT 23rd, after she has recovered from her spay surgery..

Adoption fee: $350(includes spay, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper, Bordatella & Rabies vax, current on heart worm and flea/tick/mosquito prevention, parasite-free, new Martingale collar and 6'leash, health certificate-issued within 3 days of transport, 1/2 gallon bag of her current dry food, beef knee cap bone, plus her own bed w/blanket).

To apply to adopt Blakelee, please go to www.Howlin4Spirit.org/adoption-application/.                Copy and paste the application ONLY in to a new email, THOROUGHLY complete and send to: howlin4spirit@gmail.com, as quickly as you can...the first applicant who looks to be the right fit, and who's references expeditiously get back to us, will be the one who will be approved. So, immediate replies from them will be to your advantage.
