My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie Lou is small but mighty! She has a lot of personality packed into that tiny body. She is marked as special needs because she is blind but it doesn't slow her down much at all. She was born on 5/31/17 and weighs around 3-5 lbs now. Annie does not like to be picked up and that makes it very hard to put a leash on her. At this point she uses pee pads inside the house and will go out into a fenced in yard on her own as long as she can manage a small amount of stairs. She would likely do best in a home without small children because of her quirks. She loves for you to sit in the floor (down on her level) and play. Although she is blind, she is very playful but only when you are on the floor with her. She uses her bed as security if she feels threatened. Annie is so young and her foster mom is continuing to work with her every day on being held and wearing a leash, but it's a work in progress. We aren't sure if Annie will ever feel 100% comfortable with it and any potential adopter needs to be prepared for that as well. She has a lot of life and love to add to a home though, so we know Annie will be able to make some family out there complete!

This puppy is spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
