My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It was a cold winter that year. Blossom must have had a home at one point in her life, but when I met her, she was a stray cat living off of dumpster scraps and whatever else she could find. Although she was very shy, she would mew at a distance for food from those who took smoke breaks by the back door. It was our graveyard crew who befriended her with yummy canned food and an old doghouse for shelter. Gradually, she began to trust us, rubbing up against our legs for attention and warmth. She looked longingly at the backdoor to the warehouse, but would not venture inside. Not yet, anyway.

Around being 5 years old, aside from being hungry for food, she was starving for attention, almost begging us not to leave her. All the signs pointed to her really wanting to be an indoor kitty again, surrounded by a loving family. So I decided to take her home, put her through what I call “Kitty Finishing School” to smooth out any rough edges on kitty social skills, and then find her a loving, forever home.

I positioned a dog crate with kitty essentials just inside the warehouse door. I held the door, while one of my friends stepped outside, picked her up in her arms, & whooshed her inside and into the crate. I quickly closed the door. Blossom made no attempt to escape. Her calm expression seemed to say, “Well what took ya so long.”

At home, she adjusted well to the other cats and my little dog. She still is a little nervous about being picked up. She absolutely loves warm laps and cuddling! Her nails need to be kept short, due to her kneading or padding while on laps. And just as I suspected, she adores being an indoor kitty with loving people in her life!

Now, she needs a forever family of her very own. Is Blossom the kitty for you?

Blossom has been spayed, current on vaccinations, tested negative for Felv/Fiv and is also micro chipped.
