Beau is a very sweet soul who was rescued minutes before euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in California. Estimated to be about two, Beau has almost completely recovered from non-contagious Demodex; you can see his progression in these photos. In comfortable circumstances, Beau adores attention, love and pets. He also finds great comfort in playing with other dogs – big and small. Beau is house trained and is learning new commands all the time. He does not do well in a crate, and rather likes to be in the home with other dogs and people. He loves to play chase the most. Right now, Beau is very scared of new situations and people. He loves women, and takes a while to warm up to men. This gentle boy is looking for a patient adopter who will accept him and his quirks, and gain a best friend in return.
