My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB May 12, 2017. Miko is a shy guy, who takes a bit of time to warm up. He was feral when he came to Toronto Cat Rescue, but after a short time with love and kindness he has come around to realize humans feed him, and petting feels nice. His foster mom can now pick him up and kiss his head, and he will head butt her chin to ask for more kisses. He doesn't particularly want to sit on her lap, but he does want to lay right beside her all the time. It's truly adorable to see what was once a hissing spitting little kitten turn into an young guy who will make a wonderful pet for his forever family.
This boy loves to fetch! His foster mom didn't teach him how to fetch, it was the other way around! Miko is quite the athlete and can find his ball like nobody's business. The fact that he plays catch is excellent, because it ensures he gets plenty of exercise. He is one lithe and shiny cat.
MIko came to TCR through Animal Services, where he and his sister were miserable and terrified. Both of them were very frightened of humans, so it's likely they were found outdoors. He was a 10 week old ball of fluff at that point, and it was sure difficult not being able to cuddle him and tell him everything is alright. But he is a happy healthy boy now!
Miko is still a bit skittish, so he will likely need to transition into a quiet/relaxed household at first. Once he is comfortable though, noise is fine. He might do better without small children, as they make many sudden movements and noise.
Miko may take a bit of time to trust someone new, but with a bit of patience and love he is really a great cat who is a lot of fun and full of energy. As a bonus, it feels really nice when you successfully get him to trust you!
