Misty's Story...
Misty is an adult retired Ragdoll breeder who has been spayed, had her shots, and is ready to find her forever home! Misty is a large fluffy sealpoint girl with tiny white mitts on her feet. Despite leading a semi-confined life in a cattery for the past several years, Misty is very outgoing and loves attention. She is also chatty, and will mew-mew for your love & attention. She is gentle with children and also has experience with a small dog. Misty is a registered purebred, but her line was outcrossed with a Himalayan at one point and so her fur is more cottony than the classic ragdoll. She came to the rescue with a severely matted coat that needed to be shaved, and once her coat comes back in, she will need a family that can commit to giving her a 5-minute comb-out every day. Misty is compatible with Cheeks but they are not bonded, so they could be adopted separately or as a pair. Indoor-only home is required and declawing is prohibited by our adoption contract. We do not ship cats and must meet all applicants prior to adoption. If you are interested in adoption, please fill out our preliminary screening application here: http://ragdollrescue.com/application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Keizer Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Keizer, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Keizer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keizer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keizer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keizer paves the way for another one to be saved.
