My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Betty Boop is a little 12 pound female who has been over bred. She is
about four years old and the first part of her life was hard. She is afraid
of strangers but has become a very loving little girl with her foster
parents. Betty needs a safe, loving and secure environment. If she hears
firecrackers or gunshots, she is very capable of going into a panic where
she either hides or runs. If she runs, she will not let strangers near her. She would not be happy in a noisy home with lots of children. Betty has now
had all of her medical work done and she is in good health. She is a
wonderful little dog in her foster home, responsive and very cuddly. Once
Betty warms up to you and realizes that you will not hurt her, she is an
outgoing, loving lap dog. Betty is house broken, uses a doggy door, is good
with other dogs, is crate trained and will try and sneak into the bed. This
is a very special little dog.

OUR ADOPTION FEE is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 12 months; $200 for American Hairless Terriers).

IS THIS DOG AVAILABLE? If the bio above doesn't say that there's an adoption pending, then YES! he or she IS available. As soon as we approve an application, we'll post it, so you will NOT get more current info by emailing us to ask if the dog is available. To "get in line" to adopt or get more details, you MUST CLICK HERE to submit an Adoption Application.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG?
The email address on this page is for website-related issues ONLY. For answers to specific questions about a particular dog, you MUST submit an Adoption Application! That is the only way to access the fosterparent for this particular dog, who is the only person who can answer specifics about this dog's personality or geographic location. (Our dogs are located in private fosterhomes around the state, and we do not provide those addresses on the Internet or to casual inquiries, and you cannot just "drop by" to see a dog without prearranging it with the fosterhome.) Because we are an all-volunteer organization and receive a very high volume of inquiries, we can only respond personally to people who have demonstrated a serious interest in adoption by filling out our application.
