Meet Charlie! Charlie was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter, which is no place for a senior gentleman! Charlie has been doing great in his foster home. He loves other animals and the dogs in his foster home help keep him moving. He does have some stiff joints and trouble getting around sometimes, but he takes it all in stride. It certainly doesn't stop him from talking walks around the block or checking out the neighborhood dogs.
He's relatively low key and does love to spend time outdoors, whether sniffing around or getting some sun. He is house trained, though you can't blame him if he has an accident here and there. Charlie loves to be a part of the action and would love a family of his own to live out his golden years with.
Your first step for adoption is to complete our adoption application at www.apathwaytohope.org. We will then screen your application through a vet reference check, phone interview (this is when you can ask all of your questions over the phone), reference checks (2) and a home visit. Our adoption donation is $300 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccines and preventatives up to date per the dog's age, health check, fecal / deworming as needed and heartworm testing and treatment as needed. More details will be provided if you are being considered for adoption.
