Hi, I’m Tabitha! I was rescued from the pound, along with my 6 3-day-old kittens in April of 2008. I wasn’t much more than a kitten myself, and I’m still very tiny. I was a great mom, though. Not only did I take care of my own babies, but I kind of adopted 3 more because their mom wasn’t taking very good care of them. My tail has a crook at the end and is really short. My foster mom figures something happened to it when I was a kitten, but I don’t want to talk about it.

I live in a home with dogs and other cats, so I would get along in a multi-pet household. I’m very lovable, too. Even though I still play like a kitten, I don’t mind lying around and being petted. I’ve been spayed and microchipped and had all my shots. Now that my babies are old enough to be without me, I’m ready to find my own forever home. Could it be with you?

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
