My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

p> Bliss is approximately 2 years old. She is a black German Shepherd with gold speckles on her paws which makes her a Bi/colored German Shepherd. She is gorgeous and very sweet. Bliss is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, flea, and tick prevention. Bliss was found in a ditch and brought to the animal control facility. It was obvious she recently had puppies but we don’t know where her pups are. Upon evaluation she was found in the back of her kennel trembling from head to toe. We couldn’t wait to bring her into rescue so she can feel safe and secure.

Ever since Bliss arrived into Rescue, we find her to be an absolute sweetheart. She is a little shy but it does not hinder her ability to give kisses and she always wears a huge smile on her face. She loves to play chase and tag with some of her best friends in Rescue so another dog in the household that matches her play drive will be a benefit. Bliss does prefer woman over men.

Bliss is heartworm positive but is not showing any clinical signs. We are currently treating her monthly with Ivermectin and Doxycycline until we can obtain funding for the full heartworm treatment or until her heartworm tests read negative. Her new family will need to keep her on Ivermectin which is a heartworm preventative..

I strongly feel Bliss would make a perfect companion to someone with a laid back life style and someone that can provide her with lots of love. Bliss excells in heeling, and knows sit, down, stand, and wait.
