Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am having a blast at my foster home! I have so many dogs to play with and kiss on it is truly wonderful! I have learned the hand signal for sit, no, stay, come, and out. I will need a home with another hearing dog since it has truly helped my transition in my foster home. I am full grown weighing 40 lbs. My foster mom says that I am very loving and truly love life. I want someone who wants a truly special dog and who is willing to spend time and love with me. I hope that I can find that home!
Kenia is a reminder why puppies and dogs should NEVER be given as gifts. Kenia through no fault of her own was adopted from a shelter as a gift to someone. When the new owner found out she was deaf, they were overwhelmed and didn't have the time to spend training her. Luckily for her, she found her foster mom and was rescued instead of winding up dead as was recommended by everyone the new owner consulted. Deafness is not a reason to put an animal to sleep. Kenia is bright, fun, playful, and loving just like the other foster puppies we have. Her uniqueness is her deafness. It is a reminder to her foster mom of how precious things are. It has honestly not been any harder to have her as a foster puppy than any other puppy. The other foster dogs have accepted Kenia into their pack without any problems at all.
To start the adoption process, email us at happilyeverafter4dogs@yahoo.com requesting an application. This does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs.
All of our dogs are required to be inside pets only. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, home visit, and 5 day sleepover.
