My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Demi – Born in 2002 Giddy Up – calling all cowgirls and cowboys! Mother to eight rascal kittens (who are now up for adoption as well), I am ready for my own haven. I was found with my daughter (Paisley) and eight kittens in milk crates, VSA to the rescue. Paisley and I had eight kittens and we share the responsibility for raising the kittens (feeding, bathing, playing and teaching manners). I have a slight crooked jaw, which the my foster and vet agree gives me “character.” I am healthy and get along with other cats. I would love to be adopted with my daughter or one of my babies: Brooks, Carrie, Dolly, Jackson, Loretta, Martina, McGraw, Reba.

All kittens & cats are treated for worms & parasites, treated with Revolution for fleas and ear mites, tested for FIV/FELV, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped (registered with Avid). Only $70 adoption fee for this $400 value!

All our kitties are kept in foster homes, at PetsMart on Pine Ridge and Airport, or Petco on 41 and Wiggins Pass. To adopt a kitty online, please visit our website: www.volunteerservicesforanimals.com and fill out an adoption application. You may e-mail the completed application to vsarescue@aol.com or fax to 239-261-4768. Upon receipt, a phone interview will be conducted and a meeting set, pending final approval of your application.

Please note, the website is updated daily so if a pet you are interested in is still online, most of the time it is still available for adoption. We do get more than one person interested in a particular pet at any given time, so the only way to ensure you get to adopt the pet you want, is to fill out an application!
