Missy is a Boykin Spaniel/Schipperke Mix. She is black and brown. Missy is 2 years old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 40 pounds.
Missy is a big eyed beauty! Missy is just getting to know what a family feels like, she loves to walk around the house exploring and after she's done with that she'll find a soft fleece blanket to curl up on. She likes to take lots of naps and cuddle and as soon as she see's you coming her tail starts thudding on the floor! She is very comfortable with calmer people and likes to be approached softly and gently and loves when people lay down next to her because she feels even more secure. When she truly trusts you she'll lick your hand to let you know and then follow you around the house. She likes to go for short walks but when she's done she'll let you know because she'll find a soft pile of leaves or grass and lay down. She just would like someone to be kind and gentle with her and let her know she's safe and sound.
Missy would do well in a calmer household. She's just starting to open up to people so now she just needs that person or family to call her own. Someone she can trust and open up with. She's good with kids and other dogs but wouldn't mind being the center of attention and get all the cuddles and kisses to herself. She makes herself at home wherever there is comfy dog beds or blankets so bring a blanket along with you in the car and she'll snuggle up and sleep the entire way there.
Missy is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
