Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duchess is a sweet, social and spirited girl born in our rescue last year who has sadly been returned due to unexpected upheavals in her adopter's life. She resembles a Chihuahua, but both her parents were scruffy terriers. Those who meet her think she looks like a Corgi, lol! She is a bit rotund right now so bigger than she truly is, in proper trim no more than 12-15 lbs. Duchess is a very interactive terrier girl who loves and demands affection, adores people, and is very reliable around kids :) She is fantastic around other dogs and LOVES to play. She needs work on housebreaking, but is overall a readymade house pet quite used to home life. Her litter was affected by a neurological disorder that has resulted in seizures. She is on daily medication and has her seizures fairly well managed and does not lack a quality of life.
THE RIGHT HOME for Duchess can be many things, but those seeking a family dog who is companionable and engaged would be the primary connection...for being as plump as she is, she is surprisingly active and on her toes. The houseproud might struggle with her housebreaking challenges, and her seizure disorder does add to the finances of her care and layers on additional responsibility, but she is a hardy girl thriving well and is a total character who makes you laugh :) She would do very well with another dog, larger than her is not an issue, and is exceptionally well socialized to children.
Applications are available on our southpawsexpress.og website or via contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $450.
