Sheila's Story...
S/F, 7 years, Chihuahua/Chow/Fox Terrier mix, 20 lbs

Hello everyone! My name is Sheila and I am a cheerful little girl
looking forward to finding her forever-home. My family was sorry that
they had to relinquish me and I was just as sorry that they had to
leave me. However, I always look on the bright side of any situation
and I know I am lucky that they chose MaxFund.

I am very friendly and I like both adults and children. I get on with
some other dogs but I think I would prefer to be the only dog in your
family. I can assure you I have lots of love to give you and you will
not need anyone else! I would also prefer not to share my home with a
cat. I get very attached to my human family and sometimes become
anxious when they leave me. The folks at MaxFund can suggest several
ways for you to help me be more confident when I am by myself.

I would also like to point out I am 7 years YOUNG since I am very
energetic and I am certainly no where near retirement age. Small breed
dogs can live well into their teens. Also, as you may notice, I have
quite a mix of breeds in my ancestry and this is likely to have led to
"hybrid vigor!" I love running and playing. I also love going for
walks with my family and I am good on a leash. I am housetrained, of
course. I would like to mention that this is just one of many
advantages that come with a certain maturity (ahem!).

I am always ready to go for a walk and visit with new people so if you
are looking for a cute and happy little dog to complete your family
please come and see me. I look forward to meeting you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheila, a Denver Chihuahua/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Chow Chow for sale in Denver, or seeking a Chihuahua/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Chow Chow breeders who help with Chihuahua/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
