Jody's Story...
This dog is just aces! She's the best. Calm, deeply loyal, loving, gentle Jody is an Angel in fur. She was rescued from her vet's, where she was brought to be euthanized. Her vet ran a complete geriatric blood panel which showed her blood work to be "pristine." Her teeth belied her 14 years of age and looks "not a day older than 9 years, at the most." Her x-rays showed just the very beginnings of hearworm disease, which was caught at a very early stage and is now being treated with monthly Heartguard pills. Jody is terrific with other dogs, cats, bunnies, birds and young children. She LOVES children. She only needs a loving home to spend her golden years in. Because Jody is a senior dog, we will apply a senior discount on her to any qualified adopter. Her adoption fee is $65.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jody, a Summerville Border Collie/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Collie for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Border Collie/Collie dog from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Collie breeders who help with Border Collie/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
