Emily's Story...
EMILY is a beautiful 4 year old white and calico kitty who was rescued from the local kill-shelter and placed in a foster home in her final hour!

EMILY is a little shy and hung out in the back of her cage at the shelter-and so when she was in the adoptions room at the shelter, no one was drawn to her. She has cute yellow eyes and a pink nose. EMILY was found as a stray. When I visited her at the shelter, she allowed me to pick her up and actually nuzzled her head into my face and neck! Purring all the while...she just needs someone to give her a chance!

With her foster, Emily is equally as sweet and loving. Her foster mom thinks she was definitely someone's cat prior to being brought to the shelter, because she is very affectionate with her...she rubs her head against her and purrs. Emily also responds to her name, uses the litterbox and loves looking out the window. The only peculiarity about Emily is that she growls at other cats and, generally speaking, doesn't dig them. She should go to a home where she would be the only kitty!

EMILY is current on her vaccinations, is spayed and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Brooklyn Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
