Tilda's Story...
TILDA

Breed: German Shepherd Mix
Sex: Spayed Female
Age: 8 months - born April 2008
Weight: 45 lbs. and still growing
Color: Tan and Black

Tilda came to us from an overwhelmed sanctuary, shy and thin but eager for connection and care. It took her only a few days to decide that dogs are for petting and belly rubs are swell! She's absolutely wonderful to live with and great with the other dogs. She will be a tall and lean, extremely beautiful adult dog. She's calm and adapting well, but still bashful and looking for a patient loving home where she can gain confidence in the human-dog alliance at a comfortable pace. She'll bond instantly with her own people, but will probably take her time with strangers. She definitely wants another dog to play with, or a full-time person, and a warm bed indoors! That's all new to her and she thinks it's grand.

Spayed, vaccinated, house trained. Adoption Fee $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tilda, a Santa Fe German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
