My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, it’s me, Dale and (I can’t believe foster mom is making me say this) I’ve been…. blossoming. Me, a big 16", strong, very handsome, all male beagle, blossoming. How embarrassing, even though I guess it’s kind of true. I have figured out that the decorations on the floor are toys for us to play with although I still like a good chew best. I used to be a little hand shy and flinch if you reached for me too fast, but now I just wait for the loving to start because I know you can’t resist my velvety coat and long silky ears. I also join in some of the beagle games now and don’t just watch from the safety of the couch. That one where we all run in a circle around the house barking at each other is one of my favorites. They tell me it's a good thing I'm not a big barker, because it is a huge, houndy howl/bark. I do still spend a lot of time on the couch though, I like to be ready to flip over at a moments notice to get my belly rubbed and I’m within easy reach if I’m up on the couch. The minute you walk in the room my tail starts to wag and when you look at me it starts to wag even harder. If I could get it to go in a circle I bet I could fly like a helicopter. I have learned that I should potty outside and never have accidents anymore; I just go to the door and wait for someone to let me out. And while I used to be hesitant to go in my crate, now that I know I get fed in there and treats when mom goes to work, I can’t get in there fast enough when she says “In your house, Dale.” I love other dogs and people of all shapes and sizes, and am happiest when someone wants me to cuddle in their lap. Foster mom says I am very submissive, but I’m just an easy going guy. I am also a fantastic walker on the leash and would love to spend all my time with you. Well, now that you know all my secrets I guess you have to take me home! If I sound like a good fit for your family, just let the folks at BREW know and maybe we can get together sometime. ‘Til then, keep your nose to the ground and your tail to the sky.
Love, Dale
