My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeb - male/neutered - young ( 18 months of age) - Basset or Corgi/Shepherd mix, best guess - black and tan short coat - 43 pounds Preposterously cute and fairly bursting with good will, Zeb has beguiled an entire neighborhood with his beaming smile, and his outgoing nature. He is a true one-of-a-kind dog. Extremely short of stature, quite long-backed, and graced with an enormous head, Zeb's appearance is unique, as if many children combined a number of partial Mr. Potato Head sets to create their own special dog. His heart is as large as his head, his manners impeccable, and his personality is irresistible. A yeoman effort was made to find the owners of Zeb, who appeared suddenly out of the blue in an established and very dog-friendly neighborhood shortly after Thanksgiving. It is unimaginable that anyone could "drop-off" a dog like Zeb; we have to think that only very extreme personal circumstances could have provoked such an action, and the fact that his original owners must have realized that they could rely on Zeb to make new friends. At any rate, Zeb was welcomed into the home of a Good Samaritan, who contacted our organization. Zeb is wonderfully healthy, robust and if his looks are improbable, so is his remarkable demeanor. Loving and devoted, he offers unconditional kindness and affection to all. He is an endearing fellow and quite a character, and would be a champion companion for a single adopter or for a family.
