Idola's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Idola's Story...
Idola came to BHRG from Spalding County where she was picked up as a stray with Ina. This gal is around 6 years old. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and healthy. Idola is a very kind dog, loves to play with the other dogs, and even does well with cats. But she will "counter surf" for goodies when given the chance. She needs an understanding home that will take time for her. Idola can be a barker, and is very scared right now. When she thinks that she is in trouble for something, she will hunker down and start scream barking thinking that she will be beaten. She is starting to come out of her shell and would do great with other dogs. She does need a home without children. She is crate-trained, but would recommend only using a crate for feeding or sleeping. Idola snores a lot and loud, so she needs a family that doesn't mind a loud snoring dog... kinda funny though.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Idola, a Marietta Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
