2/5/09 - Poor little Winston thought he was going to the vet to be boarded while his owner took care of some things. But as the hours turned to days and days turned to weeks, Winston came to realize that he had been dumped by the only owner he had ever known. He kept going over in his mind if there was anything he had done wrong to make his two-legged companion just drop him off and never return, but he could not think of anything. When the vet's office failed at getting in touch with the owner at all the numbers on file, they realized that they would need to find this baby a home, so they turned to rescue. One of Yorkie Haven Rescue's foster homes had a spot available and immediately went and got this poor soul. He is now safe and settling in his foster home. Winston never had any fur siblings so he's used to being the only child. He doesn't mind having his foster siblings around but he does not like the childish play that they engage in and gets a little "protective" of his toys and bones and will let everyone know not to touch them! Being the only dog for so long spoiled him to being the "main man" in the house. Now, a lap is a different story. Try sitting down for a second and see what ends up in your lap. Winston would love to have a home where he can sleep in bed with his humans and not have to wake up very early. A retired home would be perfect for this little man. If you are interested in growing old with Winston, please fill out an application.

1/2/09 - Winston has just arrived at his foster home. We’ll post more as he gets settled in.
