Sheila's Story...
An adorable kitten looking for her forever home

How do you describe adorable? How 'bout sweet, playful, loving and cute as a button? Well, guess what? That's me, Shelia!

I have been at PAWS since I was 10 weeks, and it sure does feel like forever--even though I am only 17 weeks old. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself.

I am a beautiful torti who LOVES to play! And all the staff and volunteers at PAWS are in love with me! I've been a little down since my sister was adopted, leaving me behind. But I've made a great new friend, Maxine. Oh boy, it would be great if we could find a home together!

I've been through a lot in my short life so far. Born outside, it was not an easy beginning. Luckily, some kind people took me and my sis in and fostered us until we were ready to go to PAWS to find our forever home. Lucky for my sister, she did. Now it's my turn...

I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Will you give me a home to grow up in? You really can't go wrong with me because, like I said, I am adorable! Or, in other words, I am sweet, playful, loving and as cute as buttons!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheila, a Norwalk Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
