Odin's Story...
My name's Odin... you know, like the Norse god Odin? He was in charge and I like to be in charge too. I've filled out some since my picture, because my foster mom and dad make sure I get all the good food I need. I haven't had much training, but the nice people are working with me so I know how to behave. I really like the people here... they scratch me on the head and I love that. I smile real big to tell them when they hit just the right spot. There's two other dogs and some cats here. I'm curious about the cats, I've never really known any. But they didn't introduce me one on one, they just let me sniff it from my leash, so I guess I'll have to wait on that. I'm basically a happy guy... my foster mom says I prance like a Tennesee Walker but I'd really like to settle down with some people I can call my own. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odin, a Austin Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Austin, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
