Archie's Story...
Archie is a tri-colored, broken coated, long legged, neutered male Jack Russell Terrier. He is one year old, and gets along well with female dogs and loves kids. He has been heartworm tested, microchipped, and all his shots are current. He is a tad shy but warms right up to strangers. He is well bred and is crate trained. Since he came from a local breeder who is down sizing, he needs to be housebroken but he is very smart and that will take no effort. He is playful and is a very handsome dog. His adoption fee is $200. Since a Jack Russell is NOT a breed for everyone, go to the JRTCA website and read about this fiesty little dog. Then email JRRS at for an Application to Adopt. No inquiry will be processed without a completed Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Scottsdale Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
