Brutus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Brutus's Story...
Brutus was pulled from a high-kill gassing pound in OH by one of our wonderful foster moms! We will be posting new pictures of Brutus very soon.

Brutus is about 6 yrs old and is a Coonhound mix. We think he is mixed with a Basset Hound.

Brutus is a complete lover and very calm. He will do well with another calm dog. He is very responsive to tones in your voice. Brutus is so sweet and absolutely LOVES people! He seems to not care too much about cats and would be good with kids over the age of 6, due to him being so mellow and just wanting to lounge around. Brutus is not mouthy or needy as the typical Coonhound is. He is just a great boy and needs a great home!

Brutus is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and housebroken. He will be microchipped prior to adoption.

If you are interested in Brutus, please send us an email for our adoption applications.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Oak Lawn Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
