Michaelangelo's Story...
We are not sure of his mix, but he is certainly very cute! Poor Michaelangelo has been in a shelter for most of this past year and is finally ready to go to his new home after being rescued and brought here. He can be shy at times but warms up once he knows people. He walks well on a leash, is crate-trained and loves soft toys. He is about 3 years old and weighs about 40lbs. No cats for this guy. He thinks it would be very fun to chase them!! This dog will be available on Jan. 26. If you would like to be added to his waitlist, please email us for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michaelangelo, a Wellesley Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Wellesley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Wellesley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wellesley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wellesley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wellesley paves the way for another one to be saved.
