My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Everybody! My name is Abbott. I know, funny name, but that's the name my original family gave me. However, for some reason they didn't want me anymore, so I was turned in at the local pound. The nice BREW people saved me and now I'm living with a nice foster family. I am a 13" beagle and am around 4 years old. I have 1 foster sister beagle and 2 foster beagle brothers and we get along great! I love to play doggie games, and I get them to play with me whenever I can - I keep the old geiser's hopping! I also live with cats and a 12 year old girl. Those cats are funny creatures. Can't figure them out but I'm ok with them. I am completely housetrained which makes my foster mom very happy! We're on a tight schedule here - my foster mom and dad both work so sometimes we're left alone up to 10 hours/day. I've learned the schedule (no accidents in the house), which also makes my foster mom happy! I'm crate trained, but I've been here long enough and have proven to be trustworthy, so I get to hang on the couch now with the other dogs during the day. And just so you know, I have the best beagle nose on the block! My foster dad takes all of us hounds walking in a big park area on extendo leashes. If you're looking for a nice quiet walker, it's not me. I find those great smells and am off for the hunt (which is what I was bred for - I'm just doing my job)! We all have harnesses when we walk because it is safer, and there is no chance of my collar popping off during an exciting "hunting expedition." I like to chew - but just bones, rawhides and doggy toys. I really like it here, but I would be ok as an only dog, too. If you are looking for a friend to share walks/runs with, is lots of fun to be with, and who will love you unconditionally, than I'm you're guy! Contact BREW right now and tell them you want me to be part of your furever family!
