Rosco's Story...
Hi! My name is Rosco and I am so grateful a nice lady from BARC picked me up from the shelter. I am a seven year old brindle boxer weighing in at 77 pounds light. I had a seizure in 2003, but the vets fixed me up with some medication and haven’t had one since. I don't seem to need the meds anymore either, so life is good!

I am a very sweet boy and get along well with other dogs. I love to give kisses and cuddle up tight with my foster mom or foster brother. I prefer not to be crated.

Since I am so new to the program, check back for updates. I am staying in Jacksonville with Rebecca and Apollo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosco, a Jacksonville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
