GORDIE's Story...
apply to adopt

Hi, I'm Gorgeous GORDIE. I was given up when my owner had to go into a nursing home. I'm about 10 years old, but I feel alot younger and much happier than I did a month ago, when I was at the pound! I've gained some weight, love chasing the toys I got for Christmas and definitely like my walks! I'm great with other dogs and kids over 5 years old.

Now, I don't want to brag, but I have to say I am pretty darn smart. I can understand some English and can learn anything I don't already know, pretty quickly. I like chiming in once in a while and giving my opinion to you too! I do have a little "eye tag", that I am having removed next week (well, we all need a little nip/tuck when we get older, don't we?)

So, I pretty much have the whole package: Looks, Brains, Talent.

Adopt me and we'll both have a Happy 2009!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GORDIE, a Palatine Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
