Barret's Story...
Barrett is a tri-colored fellow who came to BHRG from the shelter in Heard County. He was very ill with distemper, but has now recovered after 4 months at the vet. Because of his illness, he will be on joint medication for the rest of his life. While this may seem scary, I can assure you that Barrett has no ill side effects and is well worth the small cost each month. Barrett is 1 to 2 years old. Barrett really enjoys being the center of attention and loves to play with his four-legged brother and sister. In fact, he loves them so much he would probably do best in a home that has another active dog. Barrett does well on a leash and loves to go for walks. While Barrett loves to play, he also loves cuddling with his foster mom and getting his belly rubbed. Barrett loves to jump up and paw at his foster parents. Because his paws are so large, he probably would not be good for a home with young children. He is a gorgeous boy who has very long basset ears and lots of wrinkles. He is very well-behaved and would make a great addition to any home. He is housetrained and crate-trained and looking for his forever home.
