Radar is a goofy looking boy that is a real sweetie. He loves attention! He gets along well with most other dogs, unsure of how he is with cats but he does seem to want to chase small animals. He is about 3 years old and weighs about 42 lbs. We are unsure of his mix but he definitely has some Shar pei in him possibly mixed with English Bulldog or Boxer.
When Radar came to us he was heartworm positive, but he has completed his heartworm treatment. He has been neutered and is now heartworm negative. Radar is ready to be adopted and find a permanent family of his own. Radar is full of energy and needs a family to match that. He loves to go on long walks and is quite adventuresome. He likes to climb up on things like his doghouse, concrete walls, etc. With some work he might have a future in agility. I'm not sure if he would win any awards but I think he would have a lot of fun at it. Radar is working on obedience training and is pretty good at "sit" and doing better at a heal. He gets "very" excited when food is around or if you try to give him a treat. We are working on this problem and are trying to teach him how to take a treat gently. Due to this and his high energy level though we prefer that Radar goes to a home where there are no small children. Radar is definitely an attention hound and he will find a way to get your attention. He has a lot of the personality of an English Bulldog/Boxer and also some of the stubborness.
