My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello- I'm CARTER! I am a 5 months old with short hair- I am gray and white with some tiger stripes. I have a small twist that you can feel at the very end tip of my tail (as it was previously broken when I was outside on my own. It is all healed up now and does not cause me a bit of pain or worry!). My siblings and I were rescued from the cold winter weather-- I am so thankful to the volunteers at Advocates 4 Animals! We were left to fend for ourselves and it sure wasn't easy. I get along well with other cats, with dogs and with both children and adults. I have tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and will be up to date on shots, spayed and treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. In addition, I am housetrained/litterbox trained.I have one final vet visit prior to being able to be adopted- so please contact Advocates 4 Animals today if you are interested in me! I am very outgoing and love to play! I also love to be held and petted and I enjoy snuggling too! I am a happy-go-lucky guy who can't wait to meet you!

***Please note, cats are extremely routine oriented pets. It may take 2 week to fully adjust to a new home environment. Please remember to be patient when bringing a new feline into your home. ***

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals to begin the adoption process.

1. A phone or e-mail interview will be conducted

2. If approved, an Advocates 4 Animals member will contact you and schedule a 'meet & greet' with the adoptable pet
The 'meet & greet' will be held in your home.

3. At that time of the home visit, we will assess if the pet(s) is a good match for both the
family/individual adopting the pet and the home environment.

Please note:

-All individuals living in the home must agree to adopt the pet into their home. All members of the home should be present during the 'meet & greet'-- including additional pets who live in the home.

-If Advocates 4 Animals determines that the pet is not a good fit for the potential adopter, this will be discussed at the time of the home visit.

-Every pet is different. Some pets have highly specialized needs (ie: type of environment, other pets, etc.) while others adjust easily to various environments. Felines typically take 2+ weeks to begin adjusting to their new home. All pets have been housed in foster homes while they wait to find a home to call their very own. All adoptable rescue pets are up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and have been spayed/neutered.

-Advocates 4 Animals requires an adoption donation fee of $50.00. The adoption donation assists us in rescuing and rehabilitating additional homeless pets. Our organization is run solely on donations and with volunteers. Without your support we could not continue our efforts!

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals and introduce yourself. Please be sure to let us know which pet you are interested in potentially adopting. We will respond within 48 hours of your request. Thank you for adopting a rescue pet!
