3-29-09 Jack came to an adoption event with us and he was SUCH a doll - a great ambassador for our rescue, as he was giivng love to anyone who would let him - he'd roll right over for a belly rub if anyone gave him the time of day! He was sweet with little children and all other dogs he met, even males and puppies. We think Jack is a ready-made family dog! He's doing great on house-training and is loving life in a family!
3-22-09 Black Jack is here and what a doll! His foster mom called to say that whoever adopts Jack is getting a GREAT dog. He is awesome with her two female dogs and with her cat! He is meeting new people, went to the beach (saw the snow and the ocean all in one day - probably the first time for both!) You can tell that Jack was living outside down south, as he was very hesitant to enter the house. Now that he's in there he's loving life with a family. Jack is a doll; please consider taking him into your family.
3-5-09 We'd love for Black Jack to come north but need a foster home for him so his potential new family can meet him. Check out new pics!
1/22/09 These are some stinky pictures of Black Jack so bear with us as we get some better ones. The reason they don't exist is because he is living outside in a pen, and really longs for an indoor home. He's a lab mix, about 50-55 pounds - he is strong on a leash so will need some nice bonding time while he learns leash manners. Stay tuned for better photos. He's a sweet boy, very wiggly, and good with other dogs.
**all our dogs are in partner shelters in the south unless marked "In Maine" or "In New England". We can only bring as many dogs north as we have foster homes. Black Jack can come north if you will agree to foster or adopt him**
