Facts about Skitter

  • Breed: Domestic Longhair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Skitter was born 8/25/08. She got her name because she always skitters away when you approach her. Skitter will play with us with toys, and if the other cats are around, she will come to join them. Skitter needs a calm and patient home to bring out the loving little girl hiding inside. She is mostly solid blue, long hair, but has some lighter hair behind her ears. She is very pretty.

About Mountains' Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non profit group of volunteers that began in 1975. We have no shelter facilities, we rely only on foster homes and donations to keep our programs running.
We have membership that offers discounts at local merchants
We have newsletters with pet tips and info
We offer emergency medical funding
We have a telephone and website service to assist with lost & found animals, adoptions, Foster care and general info.
We have pet identification tags for $5

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because of our mountain location, our winter weather can be freezing and long. We encourage you to check the Calendar page on our website at www.mountainshumanesociety.org for the dates & locations of our events. You can also view photos of our current animals available by clicking on the "Adoptions" tab.
We DO NOT have a location/facility/shelter. If you would like to meet any of our available animals, we will need to set up a one on one meeting with you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please e-mail us to request an adoption application, and specify what animal you are interested in. Incomplete applications will not be considered, so be sure you fill in every line.
We ask for a $95.00 donation for dogs and a $75 donation for cats. Our adoption donation is quite a bargain if you add up the costs of everything we include; our animals are already spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and have been tested for FLA virus (cats) and Heartworm (dogs). We also include a free local Veterinarian office visit, a folder of valuable information about your pet, a DVD to help you and your new pet adjust, and a goodie bag of treats, coupons, samples and a toy. During the "good weather" months, we will be having adoption days throughout our mountain communities at which times most of our listed animals can be seen.
