Katrina's Story...
Disposition: sweet, cuddly

Katrina is a chocolate-point Himalayan with those typical Siamese crossed eyes. She loves being petted. She loves being brushed. She is quite a bit overweight and could shed about five pounds. She is also front-declawed.

This gal was was surrender by her owner to animal control. We just happened to visit on her final day and pulled her out to save her from euthanasia.

She would probably do well in any family that would give her her own space where she could be her quiet self. Because she enjoys company, her new family would have to spend time with her, grooming her and cuddling with her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katrina, a The Colony Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
