Flame's Story...
Please contact Linda (sixfurballz@telus.net) for more information about this pet.

This sweet, little orange tabby came to us January 23rd. He had gone up into the hood of a car and it took almost two hours to get him out. He was taken to a vet and they seemed to think that he was already injured when he went into the hood of the car. His injuries on his body, especially his tail and back end are horrendous. We can only imagine how much pain and suffering Flame has gone through. Right now he has very little control over his bladder and bowels. Hopefully, this will improve with time. He is going in for further assessement as well as bloodwork to check his organ function. We are in desperate need of donations to help us with his vet bills as they will be ongoing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flame, a Lethbridge Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lethbridge, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lethbridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lethbridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lethbridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lethbridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
