Rowdy's Story...
Rowdy is an exceptionally friendly Bull Terrier mix who needs a new home. He has a gorgeous dark black coat with white paws like mittens and white markings also on his nose and chest. This is the Anheuser-Busch Beer Company dog -- Spuds MacKenzie -- as seen on the TV commercials.

The Bull Terrier was used in the past for fighting, sheep herding, and hunting. They are a British breed and make good watch dogs. They become very attached to their owners and like to be with people, so it is not good to leave them alone a lot or to confine them in a kennel. Bull Terriers love children, and are clownlike at times and very gentle. They do need regular exercise.

Rowdy loves children and other animals. Age: 15-17 months. Weight: 40 pounds. Cost: $130. Updated 7-29-09

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rowdy, a Lexington Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
