Pumpkin's Story...
Pumpkin was rescued after being abandoned by her owners...who just moved out and left the two dogs, Pumpkin and Sunny, to fend for themselves. Pumpkin, who is a Cocker Spaniel mix (17 lbs) and Sunny, who is a larger Terrier/Lab mix, are beautiful and absolutely love each other...would we love to keep them together...ABSOLUTELY!!! If it were possible and someone would be interested in both these girls..they would have two beyond great dogs!!! Both are 1-2 years old and in great shape...they both have sweet, lovable and affectionate personalities. They love to be on your lap and love being bathed. If you are interested in adopting either Pumpkin, Sunny, or both, please complete the application process at Downtown Dog Rescue. For more info, you may e-mail Lori Weise at Lori@moderica.net or phone 818-407-4145. Thanks.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Los Angeles Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
