Chewbacca's Story...
My name is Chewie, but I want to make one thing perectly clear. From my name you may think that I'm a big chewer. Actually, I'm not. I promise, your sofa is safe. I'm named after the “Star Wars” character Chewbacca. Chewbacca in the movie didn't have much to say, he was kind of a quiet guy. That's me, too— quiet and laid-back. My family moved to the area from out west, bringing my sister Mia and I along for the long trek. It's not a galaxy far, far away, but California is quite a distance, nonetheless. But having arrived at their destination, it appeared that the landlords weren't quite so hospitable. Our family wasn't able to find anywhere to live where Mia and I would be welcome as well. That's how we find ourselves in this state of homelessness now. My sister Mia is my best friend, and we would like to be adopted together. We're housetrained and very well-behaved. We're great with kids and always very gentle. We're loyal and loving. It's hard for us to understand that we've lost our home, but at least Mia and I are together, and we know we're safe until we can find a new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewbacca, a Aldie Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
