Cruiser's Story...
Cruisin’ down the highway, headed for…a new forever home, I hope! I’m a cute boy named Cruiser. I’m an unknown mix of maybe Shepherd, Husky, or Elkhound. Who can be sure? But the end result is one very cute boy, or so I’m told. I have the cute face of a puppy, but I’m probably about 2 years old or so. I’m about 50 pounds, so I'm medium in size, but don’t let that fool you. I’m definitely a lap dog at heart. I love attention and affection, and I’m such a good boy. I’m much more interested in spending time with you than I am in treats. I love to be brushed and to look my most handsome best for you. I’m an excellent walking companion with gentlemanly leash manners. I also know the commands “sit” and “down” when you ask. I love to give hugs. Wouldn’t you love a hug from a sweetie like me? So cruise on down the highway to FOHA. We wouldn’t ask you to pick up a hitchhiker, but a cute boy like me—well, that’s another story. I’d hit the highway with you anywhere, but cruisin’ on home would be the best.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cruiser, a Aldie Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Husky/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
